Product Features:
The extension boxes and entrance box are made from Kumamoto cedar, with a thickness of 30mm, making them resistant to heat and cold.
The wood is not charred to allow the material to breathe and regulate internal humidity. The goal is to maximize the bees' vitality by keeping the environment as natural as possible.
Hives that are easy to regulate humidity yield honey with higher sugar content. The comb support bars used in the extension boxes are 8mm thick and fitted into place.
Our comb support bars are designed to be parallel, and the extension boxes are stacked with the bars alternating horizontally and vertically. This arrangement minimizes the presence of bars that bees dislike while creating a structure similar to a grid, which is beneficial.
It also makes it easier to insert blades, such as knives, during honey harvesting.
The entrance box features a sliding entrance board, allowing for easy inspection of the interior.
The standard entrance height is 6mm. By inverting the entrance board, you can confine the bees, which is convenient for transportation.
Please Note:
As this product is made of wood, there may be slight variations of ±2mm due to natural wood grain, knots, shrinkage, or manual assembly. We appreciate your understanding.
