Antique 1910 Armour Sylvan Violet Talcum Powder Tin Art Nouveau Litho Chicago
Armour Sylvan
Up for sale is a beautiful, rare piece of early 20th-century advertising: an antique Sylvan Violet Toilet Talcum Powder tin manufactured by Armour & Company of Chicago. Dating back to the 1910s, this tin is a stunning example of the Art Nouveau era, featuring an intricate woodland window lithograph design framing a patch of purple violets. This tin still contains approximately three-quarters of its original vintage powder contents, making it a wonderful, authentic display piece for a historic vanity, bathroom shelf, or antique advertising collection. Condition Notes: This item is over 110 years old and shows authentic antique wear. There is notable rust, oxidation, and surface patina on the top metal shaker cap and the bottom base plate, as shown in the photos. However, the main lithographed graphic on the front remains incredibly vivid, sharp, and highly legible with beautiful color preservation. The shaker top mechanism is intact
